"Hi, I am a native Spanish-speaker, born, raised, and educated in a Latin American country. Thus, I have organic and academic knowledge of the language, culture, people, and history of Latin America and can teach any aspect of it that you are interested in learning. I enjoy teaching about the diversity and richness of our language, particularly the variances (some call dialects).

I studied Economics at the University of California at Irvine and Language Acquisition at the University of Santa Barbara, CA. Subsequently, I taught K-6 education in California public schools. My studies and my own experience as a second language learner have built my skills as foreign language teacher and tutor. I teach my students how to approach second language learning successfully and painlessly. Depending on the students learning style and preferences, I believe it is easiest to learn a second language using a multi-sensory approach, coupled with learning language contextually. I have used these methods effectively with students of all ages.
