"I am a certified elementary school teacher and reading specialist with 20 years of experience in public and private schools. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum Instruction with an emphasis is reading. I have Virginia and Pennsylvania certification as a Reading Specialist PreK-12th grade and as an elementary school teacher for K-6th grade. I love working with students from preschool to middle school. I have provided one-on-one tutoring for four years. I also have 15+ years of experience working with students who are learning English as an additional language.

My specialty is teaching all things related to literacy (phonemic awareness, phonics, reading, comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and writing). I am certified by IMSE Orton Gillingham and have experience using multisensory methods with individuals and small groups. I am also certified by the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (C-SLDI).
