"Hi, I’m Susan. I’m a certified reading specialist with 30 years of teaching experience and over 25 years of private tutoring. I hold a Bachelor of Science in General Education and am a fellow of the Pennsylvania Writing and Literature Project through West Chester University.

I support students in grades 8 through college with reading comprehension, critical thinking, and writing across all genres. Before each session, I consult with the student to understand their goals and assignments so we can begin each lesson with clarity and momentum. This advance preparation allows us to make the most of our time together.

My instruction focuses on practical, transferable strategies that help students analyze texts, generate ideas, and communicate effectively in academic settings. I tailor every lesson to each student’s strengths and areas for growth, creating a supportive and structured learning environment.
