"I have sixteen years of experience teaching secondary mathematics across a wide range of courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB and BC, IB Math, and intervention and enrichment classes. Over the years, I have worked with students who love math, students who feel stuck or overwhelmed by it, and many who were convinced they were “just not math people.” I have taught in both the United States and international American schools in Alaska, Texas, Egypt, Nepal, Guatemala, and China, and I have supported students from many academic, cultural, and language backgrounds. My experience includes traditional classroom teaching, small-group instruction, one-on-one tutoring, and fully online learning using platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, and Moodle.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a K–14 Mathematics specialization, and I am currently in graduate school pursuing training in school counseling and professional counseling. I am certified to teach mathematics in Texas. More importantly, I focus on creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence as they learn.

In addition to my classroom and tutoring experience, I am a lifelong learner who genuinely enjoys mathematics and learning, and I bring that curiosity into my sessions when it helps students see math as something that can be understood rather than feared. Whether a student is trying to pass a required course, prepare for an exam, or rebuild confidence after a rough experience with math, I aim to meet them where they are and help them move forward at a pace that feels manageable and encouraging. My goal is for students to leave each session feeling more capable, more confident, and better prepared to succeed on their own.
