Having lived abroad, as everybody else in this situation, I have perceived that becoming a fluent speaker; so-called near native speaker - is rarely a realistic goal. Considering that I myself have always been on this track, I have a good command of methods and nuances for dealing with this problem. Twenty+ years of working as an English teacher and lecturer has made me able to interact with all types of students and characters and become flexible in educational settings. Teaching and tutoring at different levels from elementary school to bachelor's level has ensured my abilities to cover all courses pertaining to English and Farsi (my native language) for both adults and children. Understanding the teaching methodologies which are constantly being developed provides some insights for the instructors to choose them according to their students' needs. Although Communicative Language Teaching Method, is the most accepted method these days, I personally believe in an eclectic method of teaching. Whether to choose audio-lingual method, grammar translation method, communicative method or a mixture of them depends on different factors such as the purpose of teaching and learning, the students' mother tongue and even their learning abilities. An important facet of my teaching philosophy is to provide a comfortable, non-threatening and even fun environment for all students. By making the content of the lessons more applicable to the students' lives, the instructor creates the appropriate, effective environment necessary for second language acquisition.

Last but not least, I am approachable but accountable and strict inside as a teacher. I like to make friends with my students and make them enjoy my classes.
