"I am a second year grad student at ASU going for a PhD in physics. My tutoring experience includes tutoring high school math at Primavera Online High School, tutoring college physics & math at Arizona State University, as well as teaching physics as an Assistant. I have also tutored the GRE and elementary school subjects with Varsity Tutors. I can tutor online, or in person, and I have much experience doing both. I have tutored students of all ages, and I have also tutored students with special needs. Students often tell me I am fun to work with and have more charisma than other tutors.

My teaching philosophy is that practice makes perfect. You'd probably have an easier time learning to play basketball with a ball in hand than with a paper and pencil and someone giving you a lecture. I believe that learning is the same: if you want to learn, you have to practice. Thankfully, I give students a few simple problems that illustrate the main concepts of the lesson, without making it too confusing by adding too much information or using unnecessary and complicated words.

Having tutored several years, as well as assisted in teaching classes, I have found that our current education system benefits many students while leaving others behind. My goal is to teach students in ways that make sense to them so that they do not fall behind. I have a very creative and abstract mind, that allows me to re-imagine subjects and teach them in intuitive ways that make sense to students. Ultimately my approach is to get into the student's mind and teach from that perspective.
