"I will attend college and am currently in a gap year. Despite numerous academic accomplishments, I feel like my ability to convey not only information but methods of thinking set me apart. For instance, I try to fully understand topics rather than do well in school - and my tutoring reflects that. Since freshman year, I have mastery in over 13 AP curriculum (specifically in Calculus AB/BC, Chemistry, Biology, Physics - Mechanics), scoring 5s & 4s on the respective AP tests. Additionally, I scored 1550 on the SAT. My standardized testing abilities were not always there, but learnt, and I hope that I can instill them into anybody whom I tutor.

My first experiences tutoring came in a high school math course where I would help answer basic homework problems. However, as the year would progress, I would help my peers understand the material by synergizing with the teacher's lesson. My peers would end up doing well, and so would I, yet my newfound passion would be what persisted.

Many more experiences with tutoring have taught me many things: communication, empathy, and mastery. Yet above all, tutoring taught me how to learn, for how can you teach without learning yourself.
