"After graduating cum laude from college with a degree in Communication Arts, I immediately started to work in the industry, first in a TV studio, then on location productions. I worked many years for the BBC as a sound recordist, concurrently working on commercials and as an editor where I won many awards.

I grew into my own productions as a director, camera operator and editor, producing many short documentaries, corporate films and instructional videos. I worked on two independent features but these were not where my interests took me. I started a post production company in Miami, FL with partners and did A.D.R. work for the TV show Miami Vice and many movies.

I received my master's degree and taught at the college level for 28 years, including several classes online. My area of expertise includes Editing and Video production, specifically Single Camera Production, TV Studio Production, location Multi-Camera Production & Live Directing, Webcasting/Podcasting Interview shows, and of course Lighting and Sound Recording. Most recently I headed up the Live Streaming Department at a major college. I have been an I.A.T.S.E. Local 600 Camera Op and I am still actively freelancing in my field.

My method of teaching is from experience with a structured lesson plan yet flexible enough to make adjustments for different learners. I like to have students take away practice exercises from my lessons and then come back for evaluation and comments. I have designed courses and curriculum and brought many departments up to date with industry techniques. I am a dedicated professional who cares about passing on knowledge, a rarity in my business.
