"Hello! My name is Samantha, and I am currently a rising senior at Northwestern University, pursuing a degree in Economics. I have a 4.0 GPA at Northwestern, and am actually a transfer student there. Before transferring to Northwestern University, I was a student at The College of William & Mary, where I was a TA for introductory microeconomics classes. I held office hours, assisting students with content, exam practice and homework. I also proctored exams for students, and helped the professor wherever I could. I functioned as a peer advisor in French, where I held weekly review sessions covering grammar that would be helpful for students to absorb in conjunction with what they were learning that week.

As a transfer student I understand how difficult it can be to fit into a learning environment, and how much academic support can influence that feeling. My professors at William & Mary and at Northwestern have been excellent, and are the reasons I continue to push myself and strive to do better today. I would love to provide a similar academic environment, and encourage students to unlock and do their best in any situation.

During my time at Northwestern University, I have continued my studies in French and plan on pursuing an internship in Paris after my graduation. I have been studying the language for sixteen years, and participate in constant practice so as not to lose my proficiency. Any practice is welcome, and to practice it and aid the development of the language in others is something I adore. I also work with Northwestern Athletics, where I tutor student athletes in introductory economics classes, French, and higher level economics classes I have taken at the university.
