"I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher- first it was a ballet teacher, then I wanted to be a law professor, but I settled somewhere in between as a Chemistry teacher. Having taught high school at a top rated NYC school for over ten years, I have developed an understanding for student misconceptions, student struggles, and most importantly, how to engage the students.

I tutored NYC students for seven years at a variety of levels (Regents chemistry, AP chemistry, honors level chemistry). I moved my family to Rochester, New York in 2023 and would like to begin tutoring again. I like to first check level of understanding, find the misconceptions, help the students visualize their misconception, and apply their newly learned knowledge to continued practice. I want to make the knowledge accessible and interesting for the students.
I am available anytime after 4 pm on weekdays and can make myself available on weekends with enough notice.
Chemistry is typically preconceived to be a very difficult course and most students are scared to take chemistry. My goal is to make the content relatable to the student and to make it fun- not scary!" less...
