"Hi! My name is Susan Cavness, and I am excited for the opportunity to be your online tutor. I have been teaching science and math for 19 years and have had the pleasure of working with students of all ages and backgrounds. My tutoring philosophy is centered around creating a positive and engaging learning environment, where students feel successful and gain confidence in their skills and abilities.

Everyone has a unique learning style, and it’s my job as your tutor to adapt my teaching approach to meet your needs. My goal as a tutor is to help you achieve your academic goals and prepare you for success in future courses.

In addition to tutoring specific courses, I also enjoy working with students as a mentor for science fair projects. From helping determine project ideas to identifying methodologies and analyzing data, I work with you to develop a plan from start to finish.
