"I worked for over 30 years as a congressional auditor. As an assistant director in charge of audits in the national security space arena, I conducted audits and wrote investigative reports to the Congress. I have briefed congressional staffers on the results of my work and have given presentations in front of large audiences. I retired in December 2015 from our Denver office. The Denver office adopted a nearby elementary school wherein auditors would travel to the school and offer reading, math, and language assistance. This is how I knew that I loved teaching!

In late 2016, my wife and I moved to California and specifically Madera. I'm doing my best to get used to the summer heat and lack of snow. Now that we have updated our home, I'm ready for a new challenge in life and that involves tutoring or teaching at the university level. Look. I've taught brand new hires how to write, speak, audit, analyze date, and collaborate as a team. I'm confident that I'll be successful in teaching you whatever you need to learn. Trust me, I remember new congressional staffers who knew nothing about space matters and I've successfully educated them into being near experts!

Working as a congressional auditor requires a significant amount of data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative. I have a passion for data analysis, and this passion will make learning fun. When learning is fun, knowledge is transferred. Plus, I have examples from my many years of work that will help students better understand concepts and the reasons for solving math problems. I have reviewed billion dollar cost estimates, critical paths, confidence levels in estimates, and other matters.

I have written many investigative reports to the Congress. I have prepared many briefings to the Congress. I regularly review various reports from teams who worked for me. I have a complete understanding of grammar, as well as the common traps....subject verb agreement issues, possessive plural issues, pronouns issues, etc.
