"Hello! I am a former high school math teacher with 12 years of classroom experience. I am still passionate about teaching math and my goal is to help students be successful by providing instruction, homework help, study strategies and encouragement. Because I am retired, I can meet during the day to accommodate those who don't attend school full-time.

I believe in teaching students to think through a problem, walking them through the steps required to successfully arrive at the solution. I explain why we follow the process and how it relates to other math concepts. I have found that students respond positively to this approach, and it makes them more confident and successful. Besides teaching, I have tutored both middle-school and high-school students in the past and help-sessions I offered during my tenure as a teacher have provided an avenue for me to help those in a one-on-one setting. I also utilize study-skills and test taking tips based on what I've observed as a teacher.

I teach Pre-algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry and Probability.
