"Hi! My name is Lydia, and I taught high school math (everything from an Algebra 1 support class to AP Calculus AB plus some statistics) from 2014 to 2020. Since then, I have earned a Master's degree in Mathematics and am working on a data science certificate.

I miss many aspects of teaching, and I am confident I can help you improve your ability to learn and study mathematics. My ultimate goal is to make it so you don't need me anymore: I want to help you learn how to help yourself. But I know that sometimes - for whatever reason - you have a gap between where you are and where you'd like to be to meet your goals, whether that's improving your grade or SAT score, passing an AP exam, or getting through this last math class in college.

If you're in college calculus or a higher-level math class, such as AP Calc BC, Calculus 2, or math major courses, I charge half my rate and work WITH you to learn the material. If you want someone who is 100% certain on the answers to your homework problems, I probably can't help you there. But I am trying to keep my skills up in these areas - math is very much "use it or lose it," and it's hard to be motivated to just study math in my free time.
