I'm an experienced math tutor looking for clients in the area. I've worked 8+ years as an educator in the Cambridge area for various after-school programs and elementary/middle schools. During college (UMass Dartmouth), I worked in the Math & Business center helping students succeed in math subjects ranging from quantitative reasoning to Calculus II! I started off as a Physics major and completed much of the coursework with exceptional grades. I've successfully complete mathematics coursework up to Calculus III and Differential Equations.

I've recently tutored through the City of Cambridge through the Amp'd and Excel programs which help students in Mathematics at the elementary and middle school levels. These were in small group settings in a classroom. For private tutoring, my most recent clients with two high school students that needed help in Algebra II and SAT math. Much of my private tutoring is done in a library setting.

I take a practical approach to tutoring where we review the fundamentals that make up most of the common mistakes when doing math. Most of the time, when trying to access new concepts and material, students are missing the core fundamental concepts embedded in their current coursework. For example, review algebraic concepts when working with students in Pre-Calculus. Most of my tutoring is 1on1 but have done small groups in the past.
