"My name is Gretchen and I am currently a fourth year medical student at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. I received my Associate Degree with honors in Biology in December 2019 from Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While attending college there, I also played on the NJCAA Division 1 women's soccer team. I transferred to the University of Florida (Go Gators!), where I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Pre-professional Emphasis in December 2021. At UF, I was president of our university's chapter of Tau Sigma, an honor society for transfer students. I am now in my final year of medical school in North Chicago.

I have taught students for many years, beginning in high school. I was a volunteer math tutor for elementary school students for all 4 years of high school. I also worked as a summer camp counselor at my local community center for 5 years. Following this, during my gap year before medical school, I worked as an Assistant Manager at Mathnasium of Pembroke Pines in South Florida. I am currently a tutor for first and second year medical students at my school, which I have had the privilege of doing for 2 years now. I absolutely love teaching others and enjoy seeing students reach their highest potential.
