"My name is Marcelina, and I am looking forward to being your next French or Political Science tutor! I am currently obtaining my Bachelor's degree in French and Political Science, as well as a minor in TESOL.

My passion for French goes back to middle school when I was first introduced to the language. I speak French at a High Intermediate level (B1-B2), have obtained my Seal of Biliteracy in the French Language, and am looking forward to being certified to teach French at the secondary-education level. Besides French, I also speak Polish, which is my native language. I believe that the point of learning language is to be able to use it for communication. There is no better way to promote this outcome, in my opinion, than by encouraging immersion in the target language.

In regards to political science, I have had a comprehensive education over the years, not just in terms of formal classroom education, but through opportunities outside of school such as working on campaigns, interning, traveling to conferences, and building meaningful networks. This wealth of knowledge and experience informs my outlook on the field.

I have had almost two years of teaching experience in a formal context as a volunteer catechist at my local church. Every Monday of the school year, I have prepared lessons for and taught a classroom of 15-20 students at the fourth-grade level.
