"Bonjour! My name is Marc and I have been a full time French teacher and tutor for English speakers for over 15 years. I hold a Masters Degree in Foreign Languages and I am a passionate linguist and polyglot. Before teaching, I worked in multilingual marketing in San Francisco as well as in the translation field where I ran a global translation non-profit. I am also a former semi-pro indoor soccer player (with a World Champion title as an assistant coach).

It makes a difference what language you speak before learning a foreign language. I specialize in teaching native English speakers. Over the years, I’ve helped 100+ students of all ages significantly improve their French, get ready for a trip or prepare for an Exam (French I, II, III and AP as well as the DELF*, for which I am a Certified Examiner). I currently teach or have taught at: the Alliance Francaise (Sacramento, Silicon Valley), University of Freiberg (Germany) and University of Notre Dame de Namur (California).

Several of my students consider me to be « the best language teacher they’ve ever had ». I obviously can’t guarantee that you’ll feel the same way.
