"I am a freshman studying Aerospace Engineering at Mississippi State University, and I am highly motivated to help students succeed in mathematics. My strong academic background includes earning a 95 in College Calculus I and achieving high A’s (all 96 or above) in all of my high school math courses, including Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, Algebra III, and AP Calculus. These accomplishments give me a solid foundation to tutor students in these subjects effectively. In addition to my academic achievements, I am actively involved on campus as a member of a fraternity and the ROTC program, which has helped me develop strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills that I bring to my tutoring sessions.

I have prior tutoring experience from high school, where I volunteered approximately two hours per week to assist my peers and younger students. I primarily helped classmates in my grade and underclassmen who were taking courses I had previously completed. This experience allowed me to develop a flexible and personalized teaching style tailored to each student’s needs. My tutoring approach begins by assessing what a student already understands and identifying areas where they may struggle. I then clearly explain the concepts, breaking them down into manageable steps, and guide them through a practice problem. Finally, I evaluate their understanding through additional practice, ensuring they gain both comprehension and confidence.

Through this combination of academic knowledge, practical teaching experience, and strong interpersonal skills, I am well-prepared to tutor students in high school and early college-level mathematics.
