"Hi! My name is Taylor, and when it comes to what TRULY drives me, I have three great loves -- people, creativity, and language. That is why I love being a writing tutor! Every day, I get to live at the intersection of my passions by helping people from all walks of life discover their inner wordsmiths and take their writing to the next level!

As a fundamental truth, I believe that behind all great written work is phenomenal editing-- after all, no piece starts off perfect. Therefore, what I focus on most in my tutoring sessions is A) teaching you how to build a strong foundation for your work, and B) giving you a number of “secret tricks” to QUICKLY and EASILY elevate your piece from “okay” to “A+!” Most importantly, I will show you how to break down any form of writing into into a series of small, manageable components that, when combined, make you a clearer, more impactful writer.

Regarding my qualifications, I have been tutoring for over 10 years, and have taught students ages 14-65 in the past. I have a background in journalism and communications with a focus in copyediting. In high school, I scored in the 95th percentile on my English ACT (with a perfect score in the grammar subcategory), and in graduate school, I scored within the 90th percentile on my Verbal GRE. My specialties include analytical, critical, argumentative, and persuasive essays, speech writing, research, proofreading, and SAT Prep.
