"Hello! My name is Shyam, and I'm a software engineer at Google. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Maryland with three degrees in Math, Computer Science, and Economics. Before that, I got a perfect score on my SAT, 5s on 17 AP exams, and graduated as the valedictorian of my high school. I've been a math tutor on Wyzant and elsewhere for 10 years, and I've also worked as a teaching assistant for several computer science courses over my college career, including Java, Data Structures, and C Programming. I have many years of experiencing teaching Java, AP Calculus, AP computer science, and many other types of math. One of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my ability to explain things in different and creative ways - if one approach doesn't work, I'll try a different angle until something clicks.
