Not to sound cliche, but I was born a writer! My writing journey actually began with reading...Nancy Drew, Babysitter's Club, Anne of Green Gables...whatever I could get my preteen hands on. Soon, I advanced to writing for school newspapers and was set on a career in journalism. Long story short...I moved from journalism, to technical writing, to now fiction writing. As a result of my colorful journey, I am gifted in helping students with all types of writing. It is hard to say which form of writing is my favorite. They each have very important purposes in our lives.

If I just *had* to choose one, I might choose academic/research writing. I teach Composition and have been teaching college students for 10 years. So, academic writing ranks pretty high on my list. If you need help with a college essay, I'm definitely your tutor! Also I am currently working on my first novel, thus I can assist students with creative work as well. My experience in journalism and technical writing lends expertise to other types of writing as well. Last, I also enjoy helping students with college entrance essays, having worked as an admissions counselor for two years.
