"Educational Background

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University with a concentration in Structural Engineering and Construction Management. I am a certified Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) and currently work as a civil engineer. My engineering education provided a strong foundation in mathematics and physics, including coursework in calculus, differential equations, statistics, and mechanics.

Tutoring Experience

In high school, I tutored a middle school student one-on-one in mathematics over the course of several months. He was preparing to take the Algebra 1 Regents exam early and was initially on track to fail. Through consistent weekly sessions, I helped him build his foundational skills and confidence. He passed the exam with a respectable score and was able to skip Algebra 1 entirely when he entered high school. I continued tutoring him through Algebra 2 and Physics before taking a hiatus due to college and work commitments.

Approach and Methods

My tutoring style centers on respect and meeting students where they are. I focused on engaging my student's interests to make abstract concepts more relatable and worked to build his confidence alongside his skills. I found that one-on-one instruction allowed me to identify gaps in understanding quickly and adapt my explanations until concepts clicked.
