"Currently, I am a full time tenured law enforcement and criminal justice instructor at a community college. In respect to my education, I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement and Corrections (double major), a Master's Degree in Education, and I am completing a second Master's Degree in Public Safety.

Since 2002, I have developed and instructed college CJ/LE courses residentially and online. Prior to that, I was a licensed peace officer for twenty-six years. That included thirteen years as a patrol officer and thirteen years as a detective. During that time, I also served as a field training officer (FTO) and undercover narcotics officer. In addition, I am a published author on several criminal justice topics regionally and nationally.

Having retired early to pursue a teaching career in criminal justice, you will find that I bring a consistently high degree of enthusiasm, passion, and hands-on experience that is relevant to all three levels of the criminal justice system (police, courts, & corrections).

I have found that (just like me) criminal justice students are overwhelmingly visual and tactile learners. To be an effective tutor, individual instruction should be grounded in experiential (show me-don't just tell me) teaching exercises, assignments, and evaluations (tests) that accurately and objectively measure a students subject comprehension and real-life application.
