"I hold a Master of Information and Data Science (MIDS) from the University of California, Berkeley (GPA 3.9) and dual bachelor’s degrees in Data Science and Business Administration from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. My coursework included Machine Learning at Scale, Applied Machine Learning, Statistics for Data Science, and Natural Language Processing with Deep Learning, providing a strong foundation in both the theory and application of data-driven methods.

Professionally, I’ve worked as both a Data Scientist and Full-Stack Software Engineer, allowing me to bridge analytics and development in my teaching approach. At Pave Finance, a Series Seed FinTech startup, I optimized machine learning algorithms and data pipelines to enhance investment recommendations. At QuantumStreet AI, also a Series Seed FinTech company, I built large-scale NLP topic modeling systems using BERTopic, Elasticsearch, and web scraping to analyze S&P 500 company data.

I’m now beginning the next chapter of my career at Vanguard as a Data Scientist in the Data & Analytics Advanced Development Program within the Technology Leadership Program. My first rotation is on the Financial Crime team, where I apply AI and machine learning to detect and prevent complex financial risks.
