"My name is Ms. Dorothy and I have worked in the education field as a private tutor, a home school teacher, a teacher associate, an after school teacher and as a substitute teacher for preschool - 5th grade. I love teaching different strategies to help students understand the elementary math concepts. Whether it is playing a math board game, using jeopardylabs.com, using a pair of die to practice adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing; I seek to create lessons that are fun yet educational.

I enjoy introducing different genres (fiction and non fiction) to help build and foster reading and writing skills in young children. Whether it's a read aloud, audio books, rhyming poems or songs - I seek to make sure children enjoy reading and writing in different ways.
