I'm Bank Street educated and certified in both general ed and literacy, plus have almost 20 years experience tutoring students aged 5 to 19. My students have a variety of special needs, and my job is to find a way for them to become more successful in school and life. We frequently play games and do projects as a way to integrate academic skills into real life situations. Past projects include learning to crochet, doing origami, cooking, and even designing our own games. I gleefully admit that I'm also a bit of a comic book and sci-fi nerd. Going to school can be a tiring and difficult job! I work hard to make learning fun as well as productive.
