"IXL certified. Teaching has been my passion for the past 23 years! I have taught in elementary schools for the entire 23 years in Polk County, Florida. I have been and continued to be a certified teacher in Elementary Education, ESOL, Reading, and special education (ESE). The State of Florida considers me a highly qualified teacher. I have tutored in person and online.

Most of my career has been in the Regular Ed classroom, but currently, I am the lead ESE teacher for students in 3rd - 5th grades. I have worked with students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, gifted learners, and students who struggle learning to read, understand vocabulary, basic math concepts, etc. I enjoy helping students succeed in reading, phonics, math, writing, and science.

My teaching style incorporates many hand on activities and manipulatives. In reading/ ELA I will bring a variety of books to read so I can find the books that interest your child and teach particular skills. When teaching phonics I will bring magnetic boards, letter cubes, dry erase boards, and games. Science is tons of fun with experiments and modeling the skills to be successful. I have a large library of resources available so that I can tailor lessons to your child's specific learning needs.
