"Hi there! My name is Carolyn.

My goal as a tutor is to make learning fun and relatable. With over 15 years experience as a tutor and teacher, I believe learning happens best in environments that are both playful and focused. Therefore, when I tutor students in subjects like math and writing, I always incorporate games and lively conversation to keep things light and relevant. My specialty is tutoring students in grades K-8.

I also believe that teamwork is essential to learning, so I collaborate with parents to figure out how best to support their child's journey at home and at school.

I have tutored over 70 students in the LA area who come from a variety of schools in preschool through the university level. These schools include Curtis School, Campbell Hall, Eagle Rock Magnet, CSUN, and many more. I have also taught in schools as both a classroom teacher and a performing arts teacher. I hold a BA from NYU's Gallatin School in Performing Arts and Education & 2 post-graduate certifications in movement and theater (from L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq and the Soul of Continuum Apprenticeship).
