"I am a current undergraduate student at CWRU with a strong background in general and organic chemistry (A's in both classes). I have a passion for helping students build a confident understanding and foundation of these subjects, and I have helped my friends study these subjects many times in the past year. I have a strong foundation in chemical principles, as well as reaction mechanisms and the proper problem-solving strategies needed to successfully complete chemistry problems. My courses have allowed me not only to understand the topics but know them well enough to teach someone at any level intuitively and clearly.

My experience includes physical teaching skills from being a private ice skating coach and academic experience by assisting my friends with their courses. For my approach, I like to find out the way that students learn and teach them in their specific approach, while incorporating some of my own strategies that helped me succeed in the past.

I have taught both college students and elementary school students in the past. No matter who I am teaching, I like to create an environment where the student feels comfortable and not under stress or pressure. My teaching experience has been in a one-on-one setting." less...
