"I am an evolutionary biologist with a passion for teaching! One of the most rewarding aspects of graduate school was working with students in the classroom. During my Master’s (2 years) and PhD (5 years) studies at the University of Michigan, I taught hundreds of students in courses such as Genetics, Introductory Biology, Evolution, Microbiology, and Molecular and Cellular Biology. I also have experience tutoring high school and AP Biology.

As a teacher, I focus on listening to my students’ personal goals and identifying where they may feel confused or stuck. My aim is to meet them where they are in their learning and guide them toward clarity.

As a student myself—from elementary school through graduate school—I often struggled with challenging concepts. I know how frustrating it can be when a teacher who is an expert in the subject cannot see where students are having trouble.
