"My passion is writing. I hold a BA in English from Saginaw Valley State University, where I double majored in rhetoric and creative writing, and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of New Orleans.

I especially enjoyed my work as a writing center tutor at SVSU. That was where I learned I had a talent for helping others reshape their own writing. I honed that talent as editor of Bayou Magazine during my time at UNO.

Writing is a personal endeavor. Every writer puts pieces of themselves on paper, and asking for help requires a leap of faith, a level of trust. My approach to your writing will always be gentle and respectful. We'll work through any issues together to make each piece the best it can possibly be.
