"Hey there - My name is Vin and I graduated from Georgetown University in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Neurobiology and a Minor in Mathematics. I also hold a Masters in Biostatistics from Georgetown ('21), and work presently at biotech start-up in the Cambridge area as a Data Scientist/Biostatistician.

I have excelled academically in my undergraduate (3.99/4.0) and graduate (4.0/4.0) career and have served as a teaching assistant for several college-level courses: Foundations in Biology, Multivariable Calculus, and Cognitive Neuroscience while at Georgetown University. Being a teaching assistant is one of my most enriching experiences from undergrad. I pride myself on a foundations/systems-based teaching philosophy: deconstructing complex concepts into the simpler ideas that comprise them and explain them in a way that is easy to understand. I'm easy-going and encouraging, and will work with my students to meet them where they are.

Math: I was a Math minor at Georgetown University and TA for Multivariable Calculus. I also scored a 790/800 on the SAT and a 780/800 on the SAT Math subject test. I use math everyday for my job as a Statistician/Data scientist.

Science: I majored in Neurobiology at Georgetown University and completed all the pre-requisite pre-med science courses (Biology I and II, Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics), and graduated with a 3.99/4.0 GPA, earning Phi Beta Kappa honors. I served as a TA for several undergraduate science courses, include Biology II and Cognitive Neuroscience.

English/Reading: I am an avid reader & writer and have developed strong comprehension and writing skills through both a love for reading & formal courses at Georgetown in English/Writing. I also scored a 790 on SAT writing and 760 in SAT reading." less...
