"I left my high school with a 3.97 GPA and 32 ACT and I was on my way to Georgia Tech. I thought I was ready for the next challenge and boy, was I wrong. I struggled in my chemistry class. I could not believe it! I am a biochemistry major; how could I be struggling in chemistry? It took some courage, but I finally reached out for help. Getting help through tutoring saved my grade, and I was able to leave my chemistry class with an A! That moment of success inspired me to help others succeed and that is why I went into tutoring.
My name is Kuna I am a Spring 2018 Georgia Tech graduate with high honors in biochemistry. I double minored in Spanish and biology. I was a tutor in high school for two years. I continued tutoring in college as a tutor for introductory chemistry, physics and biology after I saw the benefit tutoring gave me. After some time, I became the coordinator for the tutoring program and have extensive knowledge in how to effectively tutor students. I enjoy helping student figure out tough problems and am comfortable working with diverse people from different backgrounds.
I enjoy seeing the moment when a concept clicks for a student. I understand that sometimes the way a teacher explains something does not make sense and I always try my best to break down the concept and make it easier to understand. I have taken classes on being an effective tutor and know there are different ways people learn and try my best to teach you concepts in a way that works best for you.
Currently I am a fourth year medical student and look forward to continue teaching students" less...
