"Hi I’m Rishika! I am graduating with a M.S. in Computer Science at Georgia Tech this spring following the completion of my B.S. in CS with Highest Honors from the same institution. My academic journey has extensively covered Mathematics and CS courses, including AP Calculus BC, Discrete Math, CS Principles, Data Structures and Algorithms, and many more. Having scored a 790 on the SAT Math Level 2, and a 35 on ACT Math, I would also be able to help significantly improve SAT/ACT Math section performance along with college prep.

As a strong advocate for the impact of teaching methodologies on students' learning and their affinity for a subject, I firmly believe that a well-crafted approach not only enhances comprehension but also fosters an enthusiasm for learning. My approach centers on understanding each student's individual academic goals, tailoring a personalized, goal-oriented plan to improve scores and enhance understanding. During tutoring sessions, I promote open discussions to encourage continuous communication, swiftly addressing any uncertainties. Employing a practical and example-driven method, I guide students to grasp concepts effectively, facilitating the breakdown of complex problems into manageable parts.

I have 3+ years of tutoring experience, having worked in both group and one-on-one settings. For example, I’ve worked individually with high schoolers teaching subjects ranging from Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre-Calc, Calculus and SAT/ACT math. I’ve also assisted students on the high school math team to strengthen their foundational understanding of mathematical concepts and refine problem-solving efficiency. Additionally, I’ve organized learn-a-thons for high schoolers interested in CS through Georgia Tech’s hackathon club, teaching classes for intermediate and advanced python courses.
