"I am a mature certified teacher who loves working with students of all ages and abilities! I hold a B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Michigan, where I received a Hopwood Award for Essay, and I have since published poetry in the New York Times.

I earned a Teaching Certificate in secondary English and Cognitive Impairment from Eastern Michigan University. I received an Honorable Mention in the Michigan Student Teacher of the Year Competition. I have five years of experience teaching high school Special Education, and fifteen years as a private tutor, specializing in reading, writing, math, test prep, general homework assistance, and organization and study skills for grades K-12. I have helped students in general education and those with Learning Disabilities, Cognitive Impairment, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also have experience as a Behavior Technician at an ABA clinic, helping young people on the Autism Spectrum achieve behavior goals.
