"I am an Orton Gillingham (OG) Reading Tutor and have attended the OG graduate programs at St. John's University School of Education program for students with learning disabilities in Queens. Also I have attended the Associate program for OG in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Orton Gillingham is a multisensory language program for mastery in reading, spelling and handwriting. This includes an assessment of reading, spelling and comprehension skills. An individualized lesson plan to address the student's needs is utilized. Individual letter symbols and their corresponding sounds are used in visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic modalities. I will work with your child to discover his/her strengths and weaknesses and formulate a plan that will provide the tools to be a confident reader.
