"With more than 25 years of experience in Special Education, I have dedicated my career to supporting students with dyslexia and language-based learning differences. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, structured literacy, and a deep belief in every learner’s ability to grow when given the right tools and instruction.
I am a Certified Barron Tutor and have extensive training in multisensory, structured literacy methods designed to address the needs of struggling readers. My teaching career spans K–12, where I have worked in a variety of settings—including general education classrooms, resource programs, specialized intervention environments, and individualized one-on-one instruction.
For 13 years, I served as the owner and lead instructor of a Dyslexia Learning Center, where I provided direct intervention, diagnostic teaching, and personalized tutoring programs for students of all ages. This work included designing individualized learning plans, monitoring progress with data-driven methods, and collaborating closely with families to ensure consistent growth in reading, writing, and academic skills.
Throughout my career, I have focused on creating learning environments that are structured, supportive, and responsive to each student’s unique needs. My teaching approach integrates explicit instruction, multisensory engagement, and continuous assessment to build strong foundational literacy skills. I am committed to advocating for students, empowering families, and providing high-quality instruction that promotes confidence, independence, and long-term academic success." less...
