"I am offering a Global and US History teaching/tutoring service that "teaches" Global and US history in a organized, structured and detailed manner, rather than just reviewing the concepts and preparing for tests and papers. I believe this will help students so that students are not at at disadvantage due to remote or "blended" learning.

I have been a teacher for 15 years. I am certified in general education, special education and social studies. I have taught Global History 9th and 10th grade, US History and ELA 9 and 10.

I've worked as both a special education teacher and general education teacher as well as a special education coordinator. I also work as a part-time therapist specializing in adolescent issues. Prior to becoming a teacher I was a lawyer, mediator and forensic social worker.

I have 5-9 and 7-12 certification in social studies, both general education and special education. I have worked with students with who are in Honor's and AP classes, and have both learning disabilities and emotional difficulties. I have also worked with students that receive speech services.

I focus on helping students to understand and analyze what they read both with historical documents and literature. After analyzing the text, I focus on helping students to be able to write a clear, organized and persuasive paper that meets Regents exam criteria.
