"Hi everyone! My name is Andara, I graduated from George Washington University in 2021 with a degree in international affairs and a minor in political science. I have spent a year working as a teaching assistant through the Winchester public schools, as well as about a year and a half teaching ESL at a private language school. While in college, I taught English abroad in Thailand and worked with after school programs targeting underserved communities in the DC metropolitan area.

While in high school I took both AP Modern European History and AP English Literature and received a 5 in both of the AP tests for those courses. Additionally, I scored a 36 in both the English and Reading sections of the ACT. I also took and excelled in an ample amount of history, political science and other humanities courses throughout my time in college, and thus have extended experience in developing and improving a student's research and writing skills whether they may need to use them on an in class essay in school, or in developing a long form research paper to be turned in at the end of the semester. Additionally, although it was not part of my degree I enjoy helping students analyze literature for their English classes and frequently worked with small reading groups during my time as a teaching assistant.

I am happy to help students this summer with working on AP coursework, studying for the ACT or just generally improving their research and writing abilities.
