"I am Jacob, a Harvard College graduate in Philosophy. In high school I earned a 1590 SAT, a 35 ACT, and a 4.0 GPA. I know how confusing the path to college can feel, and coaching turns that noise into a clear plan.

"I am Jacob, a Harvard College graduate in Philosophy. In high school I earned a 1590 SAT, a 35 ACT, and a 4.0 GPA. I know how confusing the path to college can feel, and coaching turns that noise into a clear plan.
I have spent five years working with more than fifty students. Some met me in person at a leading New York consultancy; many worked with me remotely. Students range from ages 12 to 20, from JHU CTY or Duke TIP applicants to gap year athletes refining recruiting profiles.
We cover the full arc of selective admissions, from coursework to building an "spike" through extracurriculars to demonstrate world class capabilities. Essay coaching is also a strength. My humanities education taught me how to bring out a student's unique voice in personal statements and supplements. I also prepare students for interviews and shape balanced college lists.
Each engagement starts with a review of transcripts, writing, and goals. I set milestones and clear objectives. Sessions blend short instruction, guided practice, and focused tasks between meetings. Test prep begins with fundamentals, then timing and error analysis. Families receive periodic updates.
Students I have coached have earned admission to highly selective colleges, including every Ivy League institution. I am proud of those outcomes. I am just as proud when a student learns to manage a schedule, masters a difficult concept, or discovers a genuine academic interest. If this approach resonates, I would be glad to schedule an initial consultation and map the next steps together." less...
