"I'm a former tenure track professor at Carnegie Mellon University, visiting faculty at the University of Chicago Business School, and McKinsey consultant with extensive experience in student advising, mentoring, and teaching.
My primary focus is helping candidates prepare for their case consulting interviews (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG) and refining personal statements for undergraduate and graduate admissions.
I also offer in-depth tutoring in Data Science, Negotiations, Economics, Psychology, and Econometrics – all subjects I've personally taught at the undergraduate or MBA level at CMU or Chicago Booth.
Personal Statements & Admissions Guidance:
My approach to admissions is informed by over a decade on CMU's PhD admissions committee and my role as Faculty Director for CMU's Behavioral Economics major, where I helped numerous students apply to competitive MBA (e.g., HBS, Booth, Stern), Masters, and PhD programs. I've also guided high school students in preparing their applications for top undergraduate programs (e.g., Harvard, Brown, Princeton). My own admissions journey includes being an early action admit at Harvard and a Presidential Scholar at Stanford (a distinction awarded to the top ~1% of applicants).
My philosophy on admissions is that success is built upon crafting a memorable and authentic narrative. My goal is to partner with you to help discover and clearly articulate your unique story.
Consulting Coaching:
For several years, I've coached undergraduate and MBA students for their case-based interviews at top economic litigation (e.g., Cornerstone, NERA) and strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, and BCG) firms. As a former McKinsey and Cornerstone consultant, I have firsthand experience with recruitment and the interview process at several of these firms.
I also review CVs and resumes for consulting candidates." less...
