"Hi! I’m Theo, originally from Washington, D.C. but currently based in sunny Los Angeles. I graduated with honors and a 3.9 GPA in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College. I worked as a tutor at Harvard Student agencies, working 1on1 with students in SAT/ACT prep and academic coursework

Since college, I’ve had an unusual path to tutoring. I started on a very traditional corporate route, working at a Venture Capital firm in New York for 3 years. I wanted a taste of the startup life, moving to LA to join a tech startup as Chief Product Officer. I started a brand new department and scaled it from nothing to over $1m in revenue.

After many years of 9-5 work, I decided I wanted to step back and return to education and coaching, which has been a strong passion of mine since my first time volunteering as an essay tutor in high school.

My approach to tutoring is tailored and student-centric, emphasizing excitement and understanding in learning. I believe in breaking down complex concepts into digestible pieces, fostering a supportive environment that celebrates each student's progress with "wins" to keep them motivated and engaged.
