"I graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a double major in Neuroscience and Comparative Studies of Religion, maintaining a 3.94 GPA. I am currently pursuing my MPhil at Cambridge University. My academic background spans the sciences and humanities, giving me a strong foundation to tutor subjects ranging from chemistry and biology to writing, essay coaching, and college admissions preparation.
I have been teaching for three years as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard, where I led weekly discussion sections for undergraduate students in Physical Sciences 11, a chemistry course. I created original course materials, hosted office hours, and worked one-on-one with students to address their individual learning needs. My teaching earned 4.9/5 and 5/5 instructor evaluations and I received Harvard's Excellence in Teaching Award twice. Students have described me as someone who "breaks down concepts in a digestible way," makes learning "engaging and interesting," and genuinely cares about their success. I also served as a Peer Study Leader for Harvard's introductory neuroscience course, where I met individually with students to help them master difficult material and prepare for exams.
My approach is patient, adaptive, and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I tailor my explanations to each student's learning style, using analogies, visual aids, and practice problems to reinforce concepts. Beyond academics, I have extensive experience mentoring young people through my work as a crisis volunteer and case manager, which taught me to listen carefully and meet each person where they are. I am fluent in six languages and have taught students from diverse backgrounds, including refugees in Greece. Whether helping with coursework, test prep, or college essays, I am committed to helping every student reach their goals." less...
