"Hello! My name is Rudy, and I'm excited to support you on your learning journey! I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019. Following graduation, I worked for several years as a Research Engineer in both major biotech companies and innovative startups, focusing on applied science and technology. Most recently, I've been conducting neuroscience research at Harvard University, and this September, I will be starting my PhD studying the neuroscience of learning and memory.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I've developed a deep passion for mathematics, science, and the art of clear communication and teaching. During my college years, I honed my teaching skills as the music director of an a cappella group, where I instructed weekly vocal arrangements to a group of 15 peers for two years. Building on this experience, for the past five years, I've taught courses at MIT's Educational Studies Program (ESP), creating engaging scientific seminars for over 500 middle and high school students. Additionally, my training in science animation and communication in Hollywood has equipped me with unique tools to break down complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging explanations.
My tutoring approach is highly personalized, and I genuinely enjoy understanding each student's unique learning style. My goal is to find explanations and teaching methods tailored specifically to each student, not only to enhance their academic performance and grades but also to ignite curiosity and passion for the subject matter. I'm committed to creating a supportive, engaging, and positive learning environment.
Feel free to reach out! I offer a complimentary 10-15 minute consultation to discuss your needs and explore how I can best help you succeed." less...
