"Hello! I am Jayla G. and I am a certified K-6 elementary school educator in the state of Virginia. Recently, I have graduated from Virginia State University as a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. In regards to my teaching experience, I have been a full time lead teacher at a Title 1 school in Virginia to fourth grade students whose ages ranged between 9-10 years old for the whole 2024-2025 academic school year. During the 24-25 school year, I taught students the subjects of mathematics, ELA, social studies, and science. To give students extra support and bridge academic gaps, I provided students with intervention sessions for math and ELA. These intervention sessions were based off of student data in order to help students improve and master their math and ELA skills.

Moving along, for the 2025-2026 academic school year , I am a full time lead teacher to two full class sets of fifth graders whose ages range between 10-11 years old. For this academic school year, I teach two full classes the subjects of mathematics and science. In order to ensure that my fifth grade students are academically successful, I provide students with intervention sessions that focuses on the core subject of mathematics. Throughout these sessions, student misconceptions are clarified while students get access to more practice and guidance of me ( their educator ) in order to master the necessary math skills they need to academically thrive." less...
