"I am a senior Mechanical Engineering student at Stony Brook University with a strong academic foundation in math and science, paired with several years of experience supporting students across a wide range of ages and abilities.

I previously served as a Calculus AB tutor at St. John’s Preparatory School and have tutored my younger sister in preparation for both the TACHS exam and the Regents math section.

Currently, I work as a paraprofessional for the NYC Department of Education, where I assist elementary school students with autism. In this role, I support students in both general and special education classrooms, often helping to break down and explain math and science concepts in a way that aligns with their unique learning needs.

This has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to communicate clearly across different learning styles. Beyond academic support, I’ve worked as a summer camp counselor at Hofstra University, where I helped guide and mentor students through academic and recreational programming.

I also serve as the Vice President and a Student Peer Mentor for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) chapter at Stony Brook, helping younger engineering students navigate technical challenges and academic planning as well as their long-term career aspirations.

In addition to my proficiency in Algebra 1 and 2, Calculus/diff eq, I have working knowledge of MATLAB, Arduino, and Fusion 360 from my coursework and design experience. While not an expert, I can confidently help students at the beginner and intermediate levels with these tools. Most importantly, I enjoy sitting down and thinking through problems—even when the solution isn’t immediately clear. I believe that curiosity, persistence, and a supportive learning environment are essential for student growth, and I bring those values into my tutoring sessions." less...
