"Hi, I’m a professional research scientist who loves helping students of all ages build confidence in learning. My background is in neuroscience, pharmacology, and clinical research, but what I enjoy most is taking big, complicated ideas and making them clear and approachable. Over the years, I’ve mentored students from middle school through graduate school, and I’ve seen firsthand how the right guidance can turn frustration into excitement.
I especially enjoy working with students on science reasoning and writing skills—whether that’s breaking down a tricky concept in biology or chemistry, practicing how to explain ideas clearly, or building strong habits for writing essays and reports. Science is really about asking good questions and learning how to think critically, and that’s exactly what I focus on in my tutoring sessions.
My approach is:
•Encouraging and supportive – I meet students where they are and celebrate progress, no matter how small.
•Clear and practical – I use examples, real-world connections, and step-by-step guidance to make tough topics less intimidating.
•Flexible and individualized – Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to what works best for them.
Whether your student is just starting out in middle school science, preparing for high school or college coursework, or working on advanced writing projects, I bring both expertise and patience to the table. My goal is to help students not only understand the material but also feel confident and capable in their own ability to learn." less...
