"I am an undergraduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry and Biochemistry. My academic experience is rooted in rigorous coursework and hands-on research, particularly in genetic therapies for inherited diseases, cancer therapeutics, and nanomolecular diagnostic tools. These experiences have strengthened my foundation in STEM and prepared me to pursue a doctoral degree in bioengineering after graduation.
For the past two years, I have tutored both high school and university students in virtual and in-person one-on-one settings. I primarily support college students in general chemistry as well as academic writing, helping them strengthen conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and scientific communication. I also work closely with high school juniors and seniors on college application materials, guiding them through essay development, resume refinement, and the storytelling process that admissions committees value. My students range from motivated beginners to those seeking high-level academic support, and I tailor my approach to meet each student where they are.
My teaching style is encouraging but structured. I believe students perform best when they feel supported yet challenged, so I emphasize clarity, accountability, and consistent practice. I expect students to stay current with their coursework while I provide the guidance they need to improve exam performance, complete assignments, and build confidence in their abilities. Whether strengthening a student’s understanding of chemistry or helping them articulate their experiences for college applications, my goal is to equip them with the skills, clarity, and self-belief needed to succeed long after our sessions end." less...
