"I have been tutoring students in grades K-8 for more than 10 years. I specialize in English Language Arts and have a proven track record of helping students achieve on or above grade level proficiency within a single school year, even if they are currently behind. Everyone deserves to be able to enjoy reading and learning, and I help make this possible while also cultivating a love for reading and learning in your student. Nothing is more rewarding and fulfilling than increasing a student’s confidence in a subject area and watching them succeed. I would love to be a part of your student’s success story.
Currently, I am pursuing my Associate of Arts in General Education from the University of Massachusetts Global and plan to transfer into a Bachelors program in Elementary Education upon completion. I enjoy having fun and making learning fun for my students. I believe that all students can be successful in anything they put their mind to with the right support, dedication, and hard work. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy reading, learning new things, playing the violin, and singing. I also enjoy volunteering and giving back to my community.
No matter the Math concept, your student will gain confidence and understanding in a way that is scaffolded to their current level of knowledge. Students are walked through concepts in a step by step/systematic manner in which they work through math problems one part at time and master each step individually.
Being able to read proficiently opens doors to not only being a successful learner and being successful later in life, but it also allows your young reader to enjoy the books and materials they read. This enjoyment cultivates into a true love for reading and results in your young reader having a desire to read more often.
Through regular reading practice and focusing specifically on your young reader’s areas of improvement, we’ll start to see growth in just a very short amount of time.
